‘Dabangg’ girl is the new face of the D’Damas diamond jewellery brand. Sonakshi has taken over from Preity Zinta.
“Sonakshi Sinha is the face of the new Indian woman who is confident, versatile and has got tremendous self-belief. She has the charisma, grace, beauty and the attitude that goes perfectly with the brand image,” said R.K. Menon, COO, D’damas Jewellery India Pvt Ltd.
The 23-year-old is also associated with brands including Dyna Soap, Colgate toothpaste and the Provogue’s women wear line. Katrina Kaif earlier endorsed Dyna, and Sonakshi’s taking over the ad, led to an alleged tiff between the two Salman Khan heroines. Reportedly, Sonakshi sent Kat an sms to explain what happened but never got a response.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi said about her new D’Damas role, “I connect with D’Damas because I personally live each moment to the fullest and believe in celebrating life. D’Damas adds celebration to both ordinary and even the everyday special occasions.”

Their Favorite Pastime..!

How do Nepali film artists, who entertain million of commoners, use up their leisure is a mystifying question to a large crowd of audience. It's a matter of great interest to know leisurely activities of the film actors/actresses who have hectic schedule day and night to entertain thousands of viewers at the cost of their personal recreation. Reports have shown that most actors and actresses listen to their favorite musical numbers and watch T.V. as their pastime.

A pair of popular comedians Hari Bansa Acharya and Madan Krishna Shrestha, renowned as 'Maha Jodi' among Nepalese audience, said that they would leap in joy upon their success to make audience give belly laughter. "We can't help being content with audience's smiles on their faces," said Madan, adding "We are singers except being comedians." Both enjoy with music on leisure.

Favorite pastime for the superstar of Nepali film industry Rajesh Hamal is to watch T.V. when he is free after spending most of his time on shooting spot. After getting off bed, he takes to physical exercise for about an hour as a general rule.

In a conversation, sizzling and sexy actress Rekha Thapa said that he relishes the shooting in her life as she is working for the entertainment of a large audience. Stating that artists are born for audience's recreation, Rekha said, "Though I envy my colleagues going to discos and restaurants, I find myself in a joyous world during shooting."

Director Tulasi Ghimire, however, spends his leisure by engaging in reading, writing and talking with children. Allergic to hubbub of crowd, Ghimire takes a high pleasure in reading books on philosophy and supernatural phenomenon. Besides, he also resorts to pop songs by pop stars Navin K. Bhattarai and Sanjeev Pradhan for pastime.

Bradley Cooper to star opposite Ryan Gosling in The Place Beyond The Pines

Variety are reporting that THE HANGOVER PART II star (which is still kicking butt in cinemas around the world) Bradley Cooper is set to star opposite Ryan Gosling in the new crime drama THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES. The film will see Cooper playing a rookie police officer in the film.
Gosling will play a pro motorcycle rider who turns to bank robberies to support his newborn son when he crosses paths with Cooper’s cop, according to the trade.
Derek Cianfrance, the talented filmmaker who wrote and directed Gosling in BLUE VALENTINE co-scripted this with Ben Coccio. Sidney Kimmel Entertainment will finance the film and produce.

Salman fined Rs 200 for smoking in public

Bollywood actor Salman Khan again landed into trouble for his smoking habit. He was asked to pay fine of Rs 200 for smoking in public while shooting for his film ‘Bodyguard’ in Punjab.
Smoking was banned in Punjab and Sallu was spotted smoking in a hotel Neemrana where the shooting took place. He was issued challan on the basis of a photograph published in a local newspaper. Incidently, he was caught smoking on No Tobacco Day.  The hotel authority was also issued a challan.
To shoot for ‘Bodyguard’, Salman arrived in Patiala. Hotel Neemrana was shown as Kareena Kapoor’s residence. Bebo arrived a day before Sallu.
This is not the first time that Sallu Miya was fined for smoking. Way back in 2009, the actor was issued challn twice for the same offence. Actors like Ajay Devgan and Shahrukh Khan had also done the similar crime in the past.

Manisha to make a Nepali movie

Manisha Koirala, the Nepali actress in Bollywood, has announced that she will produce a Nepali movie. Manisha told that the movie based on Manisha’s grandmother will be named "My Grandmother".
Manisha had repeatedly told that she was going to do something new in near future and now, it seems she was pointing towards this project.
Manisha expected to stay in Nepal after marrying a Nepali businessman, Samrat Dahal. But, when the relationship between the two didn’t work out as expected, Manisha was spending more time in India. In the latest news, it is told that she has decided to give it a second try and is living with Samrat.

Bill Nighy Joins Colin Farrell in Total Recall

Bill Nighy's close to signing on to the remake of Total Recall set to star Colin Farrell in the role Arnold Schwarzenegger played in the original film. Also ready to take on roles in the remake are Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston, Kate Beckinsale (wife of director Len Wiseman) and Jessica Biel. Nighy's role is described as a leader of the resistance named Quatto.
On the red carpet at the Salt premiere screenwriter Kurt Wimmer confirmed this new take on the Philip K Dick short story will not be going to Mars. "The original film was great; I respect it a lot. I'm using a lot of the structure. We're also returning to the novel and we're making a hybrid. We're not going to Mars - we're on Earth," said Wimmer in our exclusive interview. Asked what fans of the original Total Recall are going to think of this remake, Wimmer replied, "They're going to love it. They're going to love it because I respect the original film so much that I preserved it in its genetic form."
What we know of this version's plot is that Farrell will be playing a factory worker named Douglas Quaid who can't figure out if he's a spy for rival nations Euromerica or New Shanghai.
Filming is expected to begin next month with Columbia Pictures setting an August 3, 2012 release.

Rajinikanth unwell, to go abroad for treatment

There is no improvement in Rajinikanth’s health and he will be going abroad for further treatment. He will be leaving India on Friday or Saturday morning. For the last one month, he was admitted in Chennai hospital being treated for recurrent respiratory infection and gastro-intestinal problems.
After treatment, he showed some sign of improvement and was discharged couple of days back but again his condition became bad. Without further delay, his family has decided to take Rajini abroad for treatment.
He fell sick during the first day shooting of ‘Rana’.
